Netflix has released the trailer for the latest installment of Joe Berlinger’s Crime Scene<\/em>\u00a0docuseries, and it’s called The Texas Killing Fields<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Directed by Jessica Dimmock (Unsolved Mysteries)<\/em> and executive produced by Berlinger <\/em>(Conversations With a Killer, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile<\/em>), Crime Scene: Texas Killing Fields\u00a0<\/em>follows previous installments like\u00a0The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel<\/em><\/a> and\u00a0The Times Square Killer<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ll never forget the day that my daughter disappeared,\u201d a man says in the trailer.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe wasn\u2019t the first young woman to disappear in the area,\u201d a woman’s voice explains.<\/p>\n

These \u201critualistic killings\u201d were all discovered within a 25-acre patch of land in League City, Texas, where the murdered bodies of over 30 women and girls have been found since the 1970s, according to CBS News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Netflix describes the region called the \u201cTexas Killing Fields” like this: “Amidst the marshes and oil refineries alongside the interstate corridor connecting Houston and the beach town of Galveston, lies Calder Road – the patch of land that earned its name after the bodies of three young women were discovered there in the 1980s and a fourth in 1991. Their murders remain unsolved, but one grieving father refuses to give up on the hunt for his daughter\u2019s killer, while the search and recovery organization he founded supports other local families facing similar tragedies. His determined pursuit of justice for the victims drives the series as it delves into five decades of the area\u2019s unsettling history, uncovering a pattern of eerie connections and missed opportunities surrounding the Calder Road cold cases that may, at long last, lead investigators to the truth.”<\/p>\n
