While visiting another driver in a medical facility, he meets and begins to fall for a quirky and outspoken woman named Lillian (Marthe Keller) who unfortunately has a terminal illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m convinced that <em>Bobby Deerfield<\/em> walked so <em>The Fault In Our Stars<\/em> could run. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Listen, <em>Bobby Deerfield<\/em> isn&#8217;t perfect. I see why it wasn&#8217;t super well-received by critics in its day. But there&#8217;s just something really charming and pleasant about it. And Pacino does a hilarious Mae West impression at the end that will make you melt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--nextpage-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Author! Author! (1982)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-medium_large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" src=\"https:\/\/www.moviemaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/author-author-2-768x432.jpg\" alt=\"Al Pacino Movies You've Probably Never Heard Of\" class=\"wp-image-1177089\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.moviemaker.com\/cdn-cgi\/image\/width=768,height=432,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/author-author-2.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.moviemaker.com\/cdn-cgi\/image\/width=788,height=444,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/author-author-2.jpg 788w, https:\/\/www.moviemaker.com\/cdn-cgi\/image\/width=428,height=241,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/author-author-2.jpg 428w, https:\/\/www.moviemaker.com\/cdn-cgi\/image\/width=1024,height=576,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/author-author-2.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">20th Century Studios<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>One reason you may not have heard of this movie is because it&#8217;s not currently streaming anywhere and it&#8217;s really tough to get ahold of even a DVD copy of it. But if you can manage to see it, it&#8217;s a totally worthwhile little picture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <em>Author! Author!<\/em>. Pacino plays a struggling playwright who becomes the de-facto father of a group of unwanted step-children left in his care from past relationships. He&#8217;s a great single dad and his step-children love him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s full of funny little moments, like when his producer friends ask to bounce an idea off of him: &#8220;Let me bounce this off you, and that off you!&#8221; he yells back, throwing scripts at them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please, I need more people to watch this movie so someone will understand my niche references.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--nextpage-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Me, Natalie (1969)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-medium_large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" src=\"https:\/\/www.moviemaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/me-natalie-768x432.jpg\" alt=\"Al Pacino Movies You've Probably Never Heard Of\" class=\"wp-image-1177085\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.moviemaker.com\/cdn-cgi\/image\/width=768,height=432,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/me-natalie.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.moviemaker.com\/cdn-cgi\/image\/width=788,height=444,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/me-natalie.jpg 788w, https:\/\/www.moviemaker.com\/cdn-cgi\/image\/width=428,height=241,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/me-natalie.jpg 428w, https:\/\/www.moviemaker.com\/cdn-cgi\/image\/width=1024,height=576,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/me-natalie.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>National General Pictures<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Technically, Pacino only has one short scene in this 1969 movie starring Patty Duke \u2014\u00a0but it&#8217;s his first on-screen role in a feature, so it&#8217;s worth noting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The film follows Duke as Natalie, a so-called &#8220;ugly ducking&#8221; who moves to Greenwich Village and meets an artist there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don&#8217;t want to watch the whole movie, you can catch Pacino&#8217;s scene <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YyX_Ka8TJYE&amp;pp=ygUUbWUgbmF0YWxpZSBhbCBwYWNpbm8%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> \u2014 but be warned, his character is not very likable.
